Britney Spears can't wake up early enough for those 8:00 AM random drug test calls, her attorney Anne Kiley told the court.

Spears missed every call from the court-ordered drug test lab because she is a "pop-star" who is often out late at night and frequently asleep when the lab rings in the morning . Being a pop-star also requires her to frequently change phone numbers in order to make it more difficult for fans to track her down.

Kevin Federline's attorney argues that the pop-star has a 6 hour window to respond to those early morning calls. While most people get 8 hours of sleep, does this mean Britney goes to bed at 6:00 AM?

Federline's legal team maintained that Spears showed up for only six of 14 requested tests, which is too many.

This is just another episode where Britney Spears has not complied with court orders, and it keeps going.

It's coming down to where Britney Spears can either be pop-star or mother. Her custody is at stake, and the drug testing was only supposed to occur for 60 days, but that might be extended now. Are the kids that important to Britney? Or, is being a pop-star, getting up early enough to wave at the tabloids on most mornings at the Malibu Starbucks more important?

If her number changes all the time, shouldn't she contact the lab and inform them of her new phone number?

Every time Britney breaks a court order, one can only see the selfishness of a little brat apparently making every bold attempt to get her own way. It might occasionally operate this way for her in the pop world, but so far it hasn't done her any good in the real world.
