Rockstar's Manhunt 2 had faced a four to three vote by the BBFC to ban the title from being sold in the U.K. Basically the board denied the game a rating. While at the same time in the U.S., the ESRB hit Manhunt 2 with the deadly "AO" or Adults Only rating. This was later change to an "M" rating after sever changes were made to the most gruesome parts of the game. It is a much tamer Manhunt 2 facing the BBFC and their vote effectively banned the sale of the game in the U.K. Rockstar announced on Monday that the Video Appeals Committee will allow the BBFC's decision to be reviewed. This gives the game some small hope of receiving a rating but not much hope. David Cooke, the director of the BFCC stated that their decision was based on guidelines though they do understand the wishes of the game company to sell the game in the U.K, and the wishes of customers to buy the game in the U.K. Members of the board spent more than 30 hours playing Manhunt 2 before making their decision and believe that the game poses harm tho those who might play it. If the game is granted a rating in the U.K. and is allowed to be sold, it will likely see an 18+ age limit, similar to the "M" rating imposed on the game by the ESRB in the U.S.
