Activision, one of the world's largest publishers of video games has announced on Wednesday that it has acquired the creator of the Project Gotham Racing series, Bizarre Creations. No mention of the financial terms was mentioned. This likely means that Project Gotham Racing 4 will be coming to the Sony PlayStation 4 and not just solely made for the Microsoft Xbox 360. Bizarre Creation's Ben Ward said on the company's website,"we're no longer tied to just one platform," and future titles "can be on whatever [platform] we please." This would imply we might see Project Gotham Racing 4 on the PS3, and it could also mean that "character game" could be multiplatform, too. According to Mike Griffith, president and CEO of Activision Publishing, "Bizarre Creations will play an important role in our growth strategy as we develop an original new intellectual property for this important racing segment, expand our portfolio in other genres and utilize their proprietary technology for cross platform development." So hang on, it'll be a wild ride ahead.
